Ghost recon closed Beta test Ubisoft originally planned to hold a Ghost Recon Frontline closed beta test in October 2021, but it made the decision to postpone the test. The test is available only to PC players in Europe, though the game itself will eventually land on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Google Stadia and Amazon Luna. You’ll get the opportunity to take Ghost Recon: Frontline for a test drive when it kicks off its first closed test, from 14th October to 21st October. Once the extraction alert sounds it’s everyone for themselves though Ubisoft have yet to disclose what, if anything, will stop the gun murder from kicking off immediately. The game will take place on Drakemore Island and will charge players with completing various task, up until a point. But turning a semi-stealthy squad-based shooter into a 100 player game, even though you’re grouped into teams of three, seems like a questionable move. That’s not to say Frontline or, indeed, Bloodhunt will be absolutely terrible, though you can guarantee microtransactions will be shoehorned in there. Apart from Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt, a vampire battle royale set in a world where secrecy is key, we can’t think of a property that is less in need of a battle royale game.
